B.J. Brittain

B.J. Brittain
Assistant Area Coordinator

Hometown: Borger, Texas

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in progress from West Texas A&M University (anticipated May 2015)

What I Love About WT: The thing I love most about WT is the amazing community that the entire campus has. No matter where you go on campus, you can always see both a friendly face and meet someone new. I don't know of anywhere else that has a community as good as the one we have here at WT!

Why I'm Excited to be a Coordinator: I have the chance to love a ton of people and to make a positive impact on my residents' lives. Not everyone can say that they have the chance to really make a difference in the lives of over 250 people, but I can! I am excited to pass on all of the knowledge and experiences that I have gained in my time here at WT, and this will be a great experience for me personally as I prepare to enter into a government career and be part of the leadership of our country!

Hometown: Muleshoe, Texas

Major: Pre-Physical Therapy

What I Love About WT: I have always considered WT to be like a home for me. It's full of great people and it has been really easy to make friends with everyone I have met. It’s just a really fun place and I am really glad I chose to go here.

Why I Love Living On Campus: Well, like I said before, this place is just like home. It is really easy to get to all your classes when you live in the residence halls and it is a lot easier to meet people. I feel like I have made lifelong connections and friends here at Jones hall. Plus, I feel like it's the only true way to fully live the college experience.

Why I'm Excited to be an RA: The reason I love being an RA is because I love to help people in any way I can. I get to meet so many people and I also get to serve as a role model to all incoming students. It can be a large responsibility at times, but it is so worth it because I don’t think that I will ever be able to have another job that is as rewarding or fun as this one.

Why I Love Living On Campus: By living on campus, you get to meet a ton of people. Why I'm Excited to be an RA: By being an RA, I get to have the ability to influence people and encourage them to get out of their rooms and be a part of WT's great community. This is by far one of the most enjoyable jobs I've had and I can't wait start up another year!
