Gunner Day
Assistant Area Coordinator

Hometown: Fort Worth, Texas

Education: Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology in progress from West Texas A&M University (anticipated May 2016)

What I Love About WT: There is an attitude that all WT students, faculty, and staff share - it makes you feel important; it makes you feel loved; it makes you feel like you will succeed. From the first day I moved in as a freshman, I felt at home.

Why I'm Excited to be a Coordinator: Bringing up leaders is my passion. Being a Coordinator allows me to bond with my staff and develop them as leaders, and they in turn will be able to have a great influence on their residents. We, as a staff, have a great opportunity to shape Guenther Hall (also known as G-Block) into one of the greatest residence halls at WT. GO BUFFS!!!

What I Love About WT:  WT is an amazing place to gain many important life skills! It's not too big or too small...here I am a person, not a number. Here you can get the help you need from people who care. I love WT for the people and everything it offers.

Why I Love Living On Campus: I love living on campus because some of my best friends are my neighbors. Everything I need is within walking distance and I enjoy the great community and atmosphere of living on campus. You can't get this great lifestyle anywhere else!

Why I'm Excited to be an RA: Being an RA has changed who I am. I love meeting new people and learning about them. I naturally love helping out others and becoming an RA is a great way to satisfy that drive to help. I also love seeing a great community being built and making new friends along the way. Becoming an RA has made my life so much more enjoyable.

What I Love About WT: I love the community here at WT. Everyone treats you like family.

Why I'm Excited to be an RA: I get to have a part in building the community and have an impact in the lives of fellow residents. I like to have the opportunities to always be there for my residents whenever they need me.
