Katy Spruiell
Assistant Area Coordinator

Hometown: Wichita Falls, Texas

Education: Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications - Advertising & Public Relations in progress from West Texas A&M University (anticipated May 2015)

What I Love About WT: I love that anywhere you go on campus, you will always find friendly people who want to help you. People care about you as an individual and want to see you reach your highest potential! We are a family here at WT!

Why I'm Excited to be a Coordinator: I love seeing residents find a place where they belong and can thrive. Although it can be stressful and unpredictable, I wouldn't trade the fact that I get to this experience to help residents grow in all areas of their lives. The community I have found here is like no other and continues to grow!

What I Love About WT: I love the small town atmosphere that WT provides, as well as the fact that you become a part of a family community. Everyone, from the teachers to the students, care about you, and here you are in an atmosphere to succeed.

Why I Love Living On Campus: Living on campus is such an indescribable experience. There are so many ways to get involved on campus, and you meet the people who will become your friends for life. You don't get that by living off campus.

Why I'm Excited to be an RA: I am excited to be an RA because I have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of my residents. It's such a great feeling when you help your residents blossom into the amazing adults they become.

What I Love About WT: I love that the campus is small enough that people know each other. The professors really care about you because you're not just another number. They will take the time to come to your burrito program. =)

Why I Love Living On Campus: It's easier to be involved and know what is happening on campus.

Why I'm Excited to be an RA: I'm excited that I can be a role model to people around me and make a difference in their lives.

Audrey Aguayo
Resident Assistant

Unit/Hall: Cross Hall 4th Floor

Hometown: El Paso, Texas

Major: Secondary English Education

What I Love About WT: I love the size of our campus! You can make friends in every class and the professors remember your name even after you finish their class! Also, it's pretty hard to find a rude faculty/staff member...most everyone is friendly and helpful.

Why I Love Living On Campus: There are so many opportunities for fun on campus, and it's easy to get involved in things you love. A lot goes on at different times in the day, so if you don't live here, you may miss out on some awesome stuff.

Why I'm Excited to be an RA: I am excited to be a positive influence for residents, as well as helping make on-campus living easier and more enjoyable.
