The service is managed by Commuter Services and is free of cost. What information is required to become a fan of C.A.R.S.? You will need a Facebook account. How is my information protected? You will initially communicate with other riders through the C.A.R.S. Facebook group. Your email address, last name and phone numbers may be available from your Facebook account. To make your Facebook information private, click on privacy settings at the top right corner of your Facebook page. From there, you will have different options for privacy settings. Select the best one that fits your privacy needs. How will C.A.R.S. work? C.A.R.S. is an organization that is meant to provide a single place for commuter and non-traditional students to network, as well as share success', difficulties, and other helpful information that may make commuting easier. In the discussion area of the group, you may request people interested in carpooling. How do I know if it's safe? West Texas A&M University nor Commuter Services make any assurances regarding the people that use Facebook. You are ultimately responsible for communications with other riders and for your own safety. Here are some safety tips that will help guide you through the process of setting up your ride and carpooling. What if I can't find a match? Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will find a match using Facebook. You may check the website from time to time to see if any new students are interested. What happens if I do not use the service for an extended period of time? You willl never be deleted as a fan of C.A.R.S. unless you elect to leave the group. How do I remove C.A.R.S. as one of my groups? Simply log-on to facebook and go to the C.A.R.S. group page. In the left column, click "Leave Group". I still have questions.
