*Bring your Buffalo Gold Card.* You will soon learn that the WTAMU heritage is steeped in tradition. The Stampede--our newest tradition started in 2013--is how students arrive at every double-header basketball game throughout the season. While the season hasn't started, we thought we would practice our Stampede, so be at the east entrance of Founders to take the path to the First United Bank Center (FUB). The Marching Band will build excitement and entertain us along the way. Go Buffs!

  9:30 a.m.

 Success By Choice

Marlon Smith has traveled the world, inspiring and motivating students to reach their potential, and he returns to campus by popular demand. Marlon graduated from college with a degree in mechanical engineering but not without experiencing some challenges along the way. Wear your official Buff Branding T-shirt.

 Branding Ceremony

 Old Main/Vaughan Pedestrian Mall

This event makes it official! With University alumni, current Buffs, President O'Brien and many members of the WT community gathered around the stage, first-year students will be "branded" a Buff. Don't worry, the branding doesn't hurt, but the event is sure to make a lasting impression.
Wear your official Buff Branding T-shirt and get ready to dance because WT's own DJ Ceddy Ced followed by DJ Earworm will mix it up on the Vaughan Pedestrian Mall after you've been branded.

  10:00 p.m.

NOTE: If you did not sign up for service and want to serve, go to the AC to see if there are projects in need of volunteers. If you decide not to participate, consider "giving back" or "paying it forward" in some way this morning. Write someone a thank you note. Pick up the phone and call someone who has made a difference in your life. Make a small donation to a cause you are passionate about.
