WTAMU Department Seeks 2014 Nominations for Hall of Fame
CANYON, Texas—The Department of Communication at West Texas A&M University seeks nominations for its Communication Hall of Fame to recognize outstanding alumni who graduated no later than 2009 from the WTAMU communication studies, speech communication or mass communication programs. Nominees will be recognized at the Communication Hall of Fame Banquet at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center, Legacy Hall.
The inductees to the Communication Hall of Fame are selected by a committee of communication professionals. Committee members include Keith Brown, Opportunity Plan; Mary Coyne, McCormick Advertising; Larry Lemmons, KVII; Jacob Albracht, KWCH in Wichita, Kan.; Jackie Kingston, KAMR; and Michele McAffery, AGN Media. Those selected to the Communication Hall of Fame will be featured in brief video presentations produced by the Department of Communication and screened at the banquet. Portraits of the inductees will hang in the Communication Hall of Fame, located on the first floor of the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex.
The deadline for submitting nominations is July 15. Nomination criteria and forms are available on the Communication Hall of Fame website at wtamu.edu/communication-hall-of-fame.aspx. Completed nomination forms should be emailed to Dr. Trudy Hanson at firstname.lastname@example.org by the July 15 deadline.
