WTAMU and Toot’n Totum Team Up for Scholarship Drive
CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University and Toot’n Totum are joining forces in a fund-raising effort to benefit scholarships at WTAMU while giving some lucky person a chance to win a $10,000 pre-paid bank card.
Tickets, priced at $10 each, are available now through Sept. 4 at 72 Toot’n Totum locations throughout the Texas Panhandle. Ticket sales will move to WTAMU Sept. 5 where students organizations will sell the $10 tickets through Nov. 3. Proceeds from ticket sales at the Toot’n Totum locations will establish the Toot’n Totum Endowed Scholarship Program as part of the Share Your Pride campaign at WTAMU. Ticket sales at WTAMU will see 50 percent of the proceeds going to the University’s general scholarship fund as part of the University’s I Am WT student campaign, and the remaining 50 percent will go to the organization represented by the student seller .
The winning ticket will be drawn at 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at WTAMU, and the winner will be recognized at the Nov. 9 football game when the Buffs face West Georgia at 6 p.m. at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium.The total amount raised along with the names of the top student sellers will be announced at WTAMU’s Leaders and Legends Scholarship Dinner Nov. 12 at the Civic Center, Grand Plaza.
