The Teaching Excellence Award Program recognizes outstanding instructors throughout The Texas A&M University System based on a 16-question student evaluation form in eligible courses. It began as a pilot program in 2008 at three system universities and is now used at all 11 campuses in The Texas A&M University System. The 16 WTAMU faculty members named as Teaching Excellence Award recipients are Dr. Lal Almas, associate professor of agricultural business and economics, Dr. Larry Barnes, assistant professor of communication disorders and head of the Department of Communication Disorders, Dr. Teri Bingham, associate professor of education, Dr. Ashley Campbell, assistant professor of education, Dr. Byungik Chang, assistant professor of civil engineering, and Dr. Mo Cuevas, assistant professor of social work. Also named are Elsa Diego-Medrano, instructor of education, Dr. Kristina Drumheller, assistant professor of speech communication, Rick Haasl, instructor of sports and exercise sciences, Dr. Neal Latman, associate professor of biology, Dr. Jere Lee, assistant professor of biology, and Dr. Melody Loya, assistant professor of social work, Dr. Jessica Mallard, associate professor of speech communication, Dr. Monica Smith, assistant professor of English, Kathy Snider, instructor of nursing, and Dr. Ruby Willey-Rendon, assistant professor of education. —WTAMU— |
