Dr. Amy Andersen, associate professor of education at WTAMU, traveled to Greece and Bulgaria in 2008 as part of the Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program, where she learned about the history, culture and educational systems of the two countries. Photos featured in the exhibit are just a small sampling of the many historical and cultural sites she visited as part of her learning experience during the six-week seminar. “The Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program was an amazing experience, and I hope I can share some of that through these photographs,” Andersen said. The exhibit features photographs of ancient architecture such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Temple of Athena at Delphi and the Rila monastery as well as the more contemporary designs found in her shots of a park and square in Napflion. Andersen also captured images of the blue sea at Galaxidi and the valley at Meteora and of a Bulgarian dancer. For more information about the exhibit, contact Andersen at 806-651-2609. —WTAMU— |
