KVII to Air WTAMU Broadcasting Program’s Award-Winning Show
CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University’s Broadcasting/Electronic Media Program will have its Telly Award-winning program “The One Sessions Fall 2012” aired at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16 on KVII TV Channel 7.
The One Sessions is an acoustic music show produced every semester by WTAMU mass communication students in the University’s AT&T High Definition Studio. The show is simultaneously multi-track recorded in WTAMU’s state-of-the art recording studio. The show scheduled to air on KVII earned a bronze prize at the 34th annual Telly Awards in February. “This is a very big honor to have our friends at KVII air a student-produced program,” Randy Ray, director of broadcast engineering and faculty adviser for ‘The One Sessions,’ said. “This shows the professionalism of our students and the willingness of KVII to give back to their community.”
