Buff-A-Rama on Tap for Sept. 25 at WTAMU

Everything from face painting to animal safety will be available for area kids at Buff-A-Rama, a free block party and safety fair at West Texas A&M University.

buff-a-ramaBuff-A-Rama is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Pedestrian Mall on the WTAMU campus. Activities are primarily directed at kids 12 and under, but everyone is welcome, and everything is free.

Kids and their parents are invited to stop by for a few hours of fun and games with lots to see and do. There will be interactive exhibits to learn about animal, bicycle and bus safety, plus there will be free hearing and dental screenings. Free food and drinks will be available, and every kid will receive a free T-shirt.

“This is an event designed to inform kids about safety issues with plenty of fun activities thrown in,” Chance Haugen, assistant director of the Jack B. Kelley Student Center and event organizer, said. “We’ll have free food and giveaways, and the kids can check out the fire truck, get their face and hair painted and learn safety tips all in one location. It will be a great time for everyone.”
