Fine Arts Events Fill Calendar at WTAMU

Everything from an art show to Fiddler on the Roof can be found at West Texas A&M University during the month of October.

An exhibit by Danny Kirchhefer, professor of art at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan., will hang through Oct. 24 in the Formal Art Gallery, located in Mary Moody Northen Hall. Plus, Mary Moody Northen Recital Hall will be the site of a Jazz Bands concert at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, and a WTAMU choir concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13. The Department of Music also will present several student recitals as well as two faculty recitals during the month. For information, call 806-651-2840.

The theatre department will present Fiddler on the Roof at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15-17 and Oct. 21-24 in the Branding Iron Theatre, located in the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex. Royal Brantley, head of the Department of Art, Theatre and Dance, will join the 28-member cast in the role of Tevye. Ticket information is available at 806-651-2804.

November promises to be a busy month, too. The WTAMU Symphony Orchestra will present its live cinema performance of The Iron Mask at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 in Mary Moody Northen Recital Hall. For ticket information, call 806-651-2854.
