Annual Buff-A-Rama for Kids Set Sept. 24 at WTAMU
CANYON, Texas—Face painting and water safety are just a few of the many activities that will be available for area kids during Buff-A-Rama, a free block party and safety fair at West Texas A&M University.
Buff-A-Rama is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Pedestrian Mall on the WTAMU campus. Activities are primarily directed at kids 12 and under, but everyone is welcome, and everything is free.
Kids and their parents are invited to stop by for a few hours of fun and games with lots to see and do. There will be interactive exhibits to learn about self defense, sports safety and water safety, plus there will be free hearing and dental screenings. Free food and drinks will be available, and every kid will receive a free T-shirt.
“It’s going to be a fun environment for kids to learn about safety issues,” Skip Chisum, director of student activities and event organizer, said. “We’ll have everything from face and hair painting to animal safety along with plenty of food and drinks. It will be a fun and informative time for the whole family.”
