Center for the Study of the American West

The Center for the Study of the American West (CSAW) is committed to the promotion and development of interdisciplinary scholarship through graduate and undergraduate education, faculty research and development, curriculum development, public outreach, and coordination of collaborative opportunities between CSAW and the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, the Cornette Library, and various other institutions and community partners.

CSAW's Mission

Our mission is to promote the study of the American West both as a region culturally unique and as a product of broad historical forces.  CSAW is located inside the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in room C102.  Give us a call at 806-651-5238 or stop by and see how we are putting our mission into action.

CSAW also has paid student intern positions available for undergrads and graduate students. Email Maureen Hubbart at mhubbart@mail.wtamu.edu for more information.
