Citing Internet Resources
Database URLs for Citation Purposes
Citation style guides require specific information about a library database from which articles or books are retrieved. Those requirements are:
- APA: name of database containing article.
- Chicago: homepage URL of database provider.
- MLA: name of database, name of service (vendor), homepage URL of database provider
- Turabian: name of vendor, name of database, article identification number
- CHECK with your instructor: you may be asked to provide the URL that goes directly to the item you are citing.
This table shows the appropriate URL for the major Cornette Library databases that contain full-text.
- Table is alphabetical by vendor name.
