ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source
High quality nursing research material is available through our trial of the Nursing & Allied Health Source database provided by Proquest.
Content unique to this database, compared to our EBSCO and Ovid nursing sources, include:
- Evidence based reports from The Joanna Brigbs Institute, summarizing the most current findings on health issues,
- Training tools that encourage students to critically evaluate information and apply evidence-based practice to their own patients,
- Training videos, covering patient assessment, care regimes, procedures, and other items where visual information enhances learning, and
- CultureVision covers 30 ethnicities and 11 religions, providing information on practices and beliefs influencing health care behavior.
Access World News Research Collection
Current newspapers, magazines, radio and television broadcast transcripts, and blogs are included in Access World News Research Collection. Both the Amarillo Globe News and the Dallas Morning News are included in this database. Full-text of the articles are returned in web-page format, and articles can be collected in a folder, emailed, and printed.

Results can be sorted from newest to oldest, oldest to newest, or "best fit" Date restrictions can be pre-formatted or custom. The pre-formatted choices include yesterday or today, past 7 days, past 30 days, past 6 months, past 5 years, and before or after an entered date.
