Description Designed to provide an overview of numerous different academic topics. Research Starters are custom pieces, written by acknowledged experts in the field. Each piece includes a bibliography, plus suggested reading. The database also includes select articles from trade and scholarly sources. These articles are also chosen to present a broader overview, and suggest further avenues of research as the student narrows a selected topic.

Coverage Varies by title. Mostly mid90s - present.
Availability Immediate for library holdings (print or electronic). Longer for Interlibrary Loan.

Special Features Use the phrase Research Starters along with specific keywords to read just the custom overview pieces. Add a keyword to see if there is an article in a specific area of interest. Create a personalized folder in any EBSCO database to save results and set up regular content alerts. Individual results will show citation in most commonly used styles: CHECK THESE CAREFULLY. Results list displays with most common subjects, authors and journals. Clicking an item adds it to the search and narrows the results list.
