Borrowing from Other Texas and Regional Libraries

Students, faculty, and staff may borrow from other state and regional libraries with either a TexShare card (for libraries in Texas) or a LEIAN passport (for libraries in the Llano Estacado Information Access Network). These cards allow WTAMU library card holders to check books out while visiting other libraries.

Important: You must abide by the circulation policies of the lending library and return the books you borrow to the lending library yourself.

Please note: These privileges are only granted to currently enrolled students, current faculty and staff, and to WTAMU's retired faculty and staff. Dependents and Friends members are not eligible for these two services. Amarillo College "Straight Through to U" card holders and Region 16 Teachers are also not eligible for these two services from the Cornette Library, but may be eligible from their home libraries.

TexShare Card (for Texas Libraries)

Most public, junior college and higher education libraries in Texas are members of TexShare, as are most of the libraries of the Harrington Library Consortium. To use one of the TexShare member libraries, register for the TexShare card at the Circulation Desk. You may also fax your application form to 806/651-2213.

LEIAN Passport (for Other Area Libraries)

The Llano Estacado Information Access Network includes several private Texas libraries as well as many libraries in New Mexico. To use any of these libraries, register for the LEIAN Passport at the Circulation Desk or fax your application form to 806/651-2213.
