Jodi Thomas is only the second writer to fill the post of Writer in Residence in the history of West Texas A&M University. The first was Loula Grace Erdman whose papers are available in the Cornette Library.
Though Jodi has faculty status and an office in the Cornette Library, her primary role is to actually write her books on campus. She also acts as a representative of the university, serving on boards and giving lectures throughout the state.
Her door is always open to students and people in the community needing information about a career in writing. She enjoys helping students expand their creative talent.
