1 Workathon!

2009/09/261

KWTS participated in Workathon again this year! Every fall, KWTS and other student organizations come together to clean up campus and the surrounding areas as a community service, and to make everything a little more presentable for Homecoming!

1 Family Day!

2009/09/261

KWTS was proud to open its doors to the parents and friends of its students and staff this weekend! We gave tours of our facility and were pleased to show what it is we do around here, and were even fortunate enough to show our station's on-air personalities in action!

1 We remember...

2009/09/111

KWTS took a moment to remember the events of 9/11 with a tradition that's 7 years strong. The station's staff, on air personalities, and anyone else who wished to join posted flags at a memorial "Freedom Tree," placed in honor of the lives lost 8 years ago, and held a short silent vigil.

1 Our Birthday!

2009/09/101

We celebrated the station's 37th birthday in typical college fashion: food, music and goofing off!

Check out the pics and be jealous that you weren't there! Keep an eye and an ear out for us, because we are FAR from being done with the fun!

There was music, there was food, and good times were had, make sure you keep an eye out for more goings-on as the year progresses!

1 Adopt-a-Highway

2009/06/041

"The One" was hard at work once again with community service. We had an amazing time with giving back to our community by picking up trash here and there.

The Adopt-a-Highway program gives groups the opportunity to help their communities by collecting litter and beautifying roadsides. This international program originated in Texas, where it remains one of the Lone Star State's most successful public-private initiatives.

1 PASO Turnabout

2008/11/041

KWTS and our National Broadcasting Society Chapter will be helping once again with the Panhandle AIDS Support Organization (PASO) Turnabout Show.

The Panhandle AIDS Support Organization, Inc. (PASO) is a not-for-profit support agency. PASO opened its doors in April of 1988 offering education to the general public and emotional support to those persons infected with HIV disease in the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

Today PASO is a full service community based organization with a case management system which provides referrals to doctors, dentists and optometrists, therapeutic counseling, transportation, respite care, and support groups. We also offer educational programs tailored to the needs of civic groups, churches, hospitals, businesses and the general public.

Funding for PASO comes from state and federal grant funds, private foundations and local contributions.

If you have any questions, please contact our General Manager and he will direct you to the right person.
