The Systems Support Services department provides information technology customer service and support for students, faculty and staff of West Texas A&M University (WTAMU). The department is committed to continued improvements in the areas of reliability, availability, and security of campus systems and networks.

We have acknowledged the many changing trends in technology and how these changes have impacted our customer community. Plans are in development to take advantage of these new trends, enhance the accessibility and usability of technology resources, and extend and revamp our service areas.

Quality customer service is the focus of Systems Support Services, and our customer’s honest feedback is vital to our success. Our customer’s needs are changing and we stand ready to deliver effective and efficient solutions to meet their needs. The departments that will ensure we meet the ever-changing needs of our customers are:

The Information Technology Service Center, which is the centralized location for students, faculty and staff to request help for IT related problems or questions.

PC Support, which provides faculty and staff with technical assistance and maintenance for WTAMU authorized workstations, network printers, and related peripherals.

Networking Services, which works closely with the other departments of Systems Support Services to maintain a safe, cost-effective, reliable network infrastructure for students, faculty and staff.

Telecommunications Services, which works closely with the other departments within Information Technology to maintain a safe, cost-effective, reliable telecommunications network and data network physical plant.
