register for homecomingWest Texas A&M University welcomes Buffs of every generation back home...to Homecoming 2009.

Maroon Madness kicks off the celebration on campus, followed by a full week of activities. There will be time-honored traditions like Pigskin Revue and of course the bonfire and parade...Homecoming enthusiasm will even spill over into Amarillo with the Amarillo Pep Rally.

The paper football tournament, marshmallow and weenie roasts, live music and many more activities promise a week full of fun and excitement for everyone.

Although our campus has transformed in many ways, we know that when alumni set foot on familiar ground, the sensation of being a Buff will come alive. Home is where memories are made, and that’s what makes us Always Home...Always Welcoming...Always WT.

Cheer on the Buffs as they take on Eastern New Mexico University at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium. Alumni Tailgate Party and Ultimate Cookoff begins at 3 p.m. Campus groups will be vying for top honors in the tailgate cook-off and the vintage tailgate trophy. Kick off is at 6 p.m.  Halftime activities will include the crowning of the 2009 Homecoming Queen and King.

Amarillo Pep Rally

Come join us downtown at the Potter Country Courthouse Lawn in Amarillo at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Catch the spirit with the WTAMU cheerleaders and band, hear from Coach Don Carthel and University President J. Patrick O’Brien.
