How to Give

With state resources failing to meet today’s increasing costs of higher education, our goals are becoming more challenging to achieve. Private support is essential to make certain that future generations graduate with the quality education, fond memories and lasting relationships that reflect and preserve the ethics, characteristics and traditions of WT’s exceptional experience.

Thank you for your interest in making a gift to West Texas A&M University. The West Texas A&M University Foundation accepts gifts, both current and deferred, for the support of the University, its students, programs and faculty. A variety of giving methods are available and gifts can be structured to meet the donor's philanthropic goals, while providing maximum tax or estate planning benefits.

Contributions can be given a variety of ways including online or mailed directly to:

Areas in Need of Gifts

Scholarships

  • General Scholarships - General Scholarships are administered through WT’s colleges, departments and offices. Criteria can vary, but most scholarship awards are based on academics, leadership, campus and community involvement and/or financial need.
  • Endowed Scholarships - A scholarship can be established with an endowed gift. Endowments provide a perpetual source of income to help generations of WTAMU students through a legacy that lives forever. Donors may name their scholarships for themselves, a friend or family member or a business or organization.
Endowed Giving Levels
  • Honor Scholarships - Honor scholarships assure the recruitment of top academic students and provide the recipients educational and leadership opportunities. Honor scholarships available at WT include the Presidential Scholarship, President’s Honor Scholarship or the Provost’s Leadership Scholarship.

Faculty and Academic Enhancement

Private support can supplement state dollars so WT faculty members can support students. Contributions can:
  • Augment resources to offer competitive salary and benefits packages and bolster faculty recruitment and retainment
  • Provide for professional development and summer research awards which enhance faculty skills and knowledge through training workshops and research
  • Provide for endowed chairs, endowed professorships and graduate research assistantships

Facilities and Technology

Providing a secure, welcoming and supportive campus environment is a priority as WTAMU begins its second century. Contributions can be used to support many areas including:
  • The creation of new campus buildings or renovations of the current ones.
  • High-quality classrooms and labs.
  • Classroom updates to provide a digital environment offering smart-classroom technology, wireless access and the latest in video teleconferencing.
  • The addition of new residence halls or renovation of current living spaces.
