Bynum joined the West Texas A&M University staff as senior development officer for the College of Agriculture, Science and Engineering in June 2007. He formerly served as senior leadership consultant for Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity in Oxford, Ohio. In 2012, Bynum received the Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential and in 2013 was promoted to Director of Development.
As Director of Development, Bynum manages the University’s six person development team. Additionally, he oversees the major gift and development efforts of the College of Agriculture, Science and Engineering as well as the Graduate School.
Bynum earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural business and economics from WTAMU in 2005.
Bynum and his wife Charlotte ’00 reside in Amarillo and two daughters, Cale (2 years) and Cortlyn (1 year). He currently serves as the President of the Amarillo Education Foundation and a member of the 2013 class of iLead AISD. He also serves on the board of directors of the WTAMU Agriculture Development Association and is an active member of the Canyon Rotary Club, Amarillo Area Phi Delta Theta Alumni Club, Association of Fundraising Professionals – Texas Plains Chapter, WTAMU Alumni Association and the Central Church of Christ in Amarillo.
