Foundation Relations and Grants

As West Texas A & M University seeks to grow, strengthen, or create programs, scholarships, and other endeavors necessary to meet its charge and become a 1st choice institution, it is critical that external support, both public and private, is sought and secured. Institutional Advancement and the Corporate and Foundation Relations office helps the university community identify, establish, and coordinate private support, including foundation and corporate giving, to advance the mission of the university and address its strategic priorities.

Over the last few years more and more private foundations have been moving away from general operating support to more focused, intentional support aimed at making a difference in society. Corporate and Foundation Relations staff can help you identify and align your project with the right foundation. Before contacting a potential funder, faculty and staff should contact our office or fill out the Notice of Intent to Apply form. We can assist with strategy, research, and proposal preparation while also coordinating the relationship with the organization and the university.

The Corporate and Foundation Relations staff also works closely with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure communication is maintained across the university and that proper procedure is followed.
