SPRING COMMENCEMENT 2014
West Texas A&M University (WTAMU), the WTAMU Faculty and Staff Diversity and Inclusion Council, and the WTAMU Office for Diversity and Inclusion congratulates graduating Hispanic undergraduates and graduates on their upcoming Spring 2014 graduation. We look forward to your participation in the Inaugural Donning of the Sarape Celebration of Achievement.

Time: 1 p.m.
Place: Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex, Recital Hall
Guest Speaker: Dr. Elsa M. Diego-Medrano, Assistant Professor of Education, Department of Education, College of Education and Social Sciences
The ceremony is a symbol of achievement for graduating West Texas A&M University Hispanic students. Family members will honor graduates by the placing of a Sarape cloth on their graduates as a symbol of pride and attainment. The Sarape stole can be worn during Spring Commencement 2014.
We ask that you designate one (1) family member or friend to be the spokesperson for your guests.
The cost for the Sarape will be one (1) of your choosing from the options below. You will need to pay the total amount of the stole, which includes tax, in person with cash or money order made out to West Texas A&M University-Sarape Stole on the day you submit your application to the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, Classroom Center 133 G (inside First Year Experience Office). The deadline for payment is March 4, 2014.
