WTAMU Distinguished Lecture Series proudly presents
WWI Centennial Lecture Series, a three part event

Each event will begin with a reception at 5 p.m., lecture at 5:30 p.m., and a meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m.

March 26
WT faculty Drs. Bruce Brasington, Andrew Reynolds, and Paul Clark will present the following lectures in the Blackburn Room at the WT Cornette Library: “The Spirits Return: Spiritualism, Medievalism, and the Great War;” “Latin American Chroniclers of the Great War;” and “The Forgotten Conflict: WWI in Asia,” respectively.

March 31
Dr. H. Daniel Peck, from Vassar College, will present “An Adventure in Canyon: Finding the House in Georgia O’Keeffe’s Roof with Snow” in the WT Jack B. Kelley Legacy Hall. Guests of honor at this event include: Cindy Cross, owner of the Canyon house featured in O’Keeffe’s Roof with Snow, and Dr. John T. Baker and Johnny Baker, Jr., who provided crucial resources for locating this house.

April 9
Dr. William S. Simmons, from University of Oregon, will present “The Great War and Split-Identity in Ernst Ludwig Kirchner’s Woodcut Cycle The Marvelous Tale of Peter Schlemihl” in the Blackburn Room at the Cornette Library.
