The WTAMU Transfer Ambassadors are a team of transfer students who are available to assist future, incoming, and current transfer students in all aspects of their WTAMU career. The Transfer Ambassadors come from diverse backgrounds, various colleges/universities, and have different educational majors and goals. Favorite WTAMU tradition: Spirit Rock Favorite WTAMU course that you've taken so far and why: Fundamentals of Engineering with Dr. Howell. We learned a variety of things that were introduced early on which helped me throughout my other classes. It really confirmed my interest in engineering. Favorite place on the WTAMU campus and why: The Jack B. Kelley Center - it is busy and I love seeing everyone hanging out, eating, or doing homework; it's like a daily family reunion. Favorite WTAMU course that you've taken so far and why: Emerging Media Law, because it was so interesting! I never knew I was interested in law before taking that class. Favorite place on the WTAMU campus: The VHAC, because you can work out, swim, play volleyball and so much more there! Everyone is always genuinely asking what degree we are and what brought us here! Favorite WTAMU course that you've taken so far and why: Current Issues with Lisa Garza. She takes real issues in society, puts factual info with them, and holds great discussions on them. Favorite place on the WTAMU campus and why: Old Main - I love the historic feel and architecture of it; all of my sociology classes and advisers are in this building. I learned so much and there is so much hands-on learning. Favorite place on the WTAMU campus and why: The new Ag Sciences Complex. The support from our community for this building is incredible! Also, the Complex is gorgeous! Why you want to be a Transfer Ambassador: I have a passion for helping others grow and develop, and this position allows me to do that. |
