At West Texas A&M University we challenge you to do more than tour campus to learn where buildings are located. We want you to experience what makes WTAMU the greatest University ever by taking a “WT Test Drive”! Choosing a university is like buying a car. You would never buy a car without a test drive, so why choose a university without visiting the campus? The “Test Drive” is the No. 1 most important step in the process of choosing a University. “WT Test Drives” include: - Fun-time learning about campus and student
- Admission’s presentation prior to each tour
- Walking tour
- Opportunity to meet faculty
- Separate tour of residence halls
- WT T-Shirt
“Test Drive’s” are provided Monday through Friday and select Saturdays*. Each “Test Drive” departs promptly at 10am or 2pm, lasts about one hour and twenty minutes, and originates from the Buffalo Courts Alumni Center. For the location of buildings on campus, please feel free to look at our campus map as a resource. Sample Itinerary:
- 9:15am or 1:15pm – Arrive at Buffalo Courts Alumni Center
- 9:30am or 1:30pm – View Admission’s presentation
- 10am or 2pm – Take a campus tour
- 11:30am or 3:30pm – Meet faculty
- 12:30pm – Tour residence halls (begins at the entrance to the Dining Hall)
Helpful tips for your “WT Test Drive”:
- Park at the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex
- Arrive early and enjoy the Buffalo Court’s lounge area
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Enjoy a meal at our Dining Hall or JBK Student Center
- Plan a visit when classes are in session
- Schedule your “Test Drive” at least one week in advance
- Prepare to Discover the BUFF in You!
