Travel, Housing and Directions
If you are flying in to attend orientation, a shuttle service is offered to pick you up from Rick Husband International Airport in Amarillo that will bring you to your future home here at WTAMU. This shuttle will only run at 10 am, 12:30 pm, and 4 pm on the following days prior to your Orientation:
If you would like to be picked up from the Rick Husband International Airport, please note this at the time you register for orientation. Space is limited for each airport pick-up and reservations are required. Please arrange flights around this pick-up schedule. Shuttle pick-ups will run on indicated days and times only, so please plan accordingly. If you have not yet made flight reservations at the time of your NSO registration, please call Michelle McFadden at 806-651-2007 with your plans as soon as they are finalized.
If the pre-planned shuttle schedule does not coordinate with your flight schedule, if your your schedule changes, or if you simply prefer to coordinate your own transportation, please visit the Rick Husband International Airport website for available rental car and taxi services. Keep in mind when making flight arrangements the WTAMU campus is roughly 30 minutes from the Rick Husband International Airport.

Students attending New Student Orientation will have the opportunity to experience residence hall life by staying on campus. Students who plan to stay in on-campus housing for NSO will need to bring bedding or a sleeping bag and pillow, towel, and other necessities.
