Victim Assistance
The UPD provides a special service to victims of crime. UPD employs a victim assistance coordinator who works directly with innocent parties of crime. The VAC provides guidance to victims with medical, emotional or financial needs and makes referrals to appropriate counseling agencies. As a liaison between the victim, the police, and the prosecutors office, the VAC provides smooth continuity during the legal process. For more information, contact Meri Lyn Odell.
