Parking Services

Parking Services deals with all parking needs at WTAMU. Permits are required on all vehicles parked on campus 24 hours per day. There is a charge for parking permits for faculty, staff and students; however, guest permits are available at no cost. The Parking Services Department's regular hours of business are 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Campus parking information may be obtained by calling (806) 651-2308 during normal business hours or (806) 651-2300 after hours.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions to assist you.

Online permit applicatons are currently unavailable due to the software upgrade. For assistance, call Parking Services at 806-651-2309. Online permits will be available in the near future.

If you are a visitor to WTAMU and receive a citation, please follow the instructions for visitors outlined on the back of the citation. A complete listing of the Parking Regulations are on file in the following areas: Student Services; Student Government Offices; Cornette Library; Registrar's office; Appeals Court; and the University Police Department.

Vehicles should park in areas where their particular permit allows them to park. Specific colored curbs designate parking availability (see map below for more information).

Adhesive permits must be completely stuck to the rear windshield on the lower left corner with the adhesive on the permit.  Permits cannot be partially stuck on.  All permit transfers require a new permit.  If old remains of the permit are brought in, the cost is $10.00.  All persons operating a vehicle on University property are subject to State and Federal laws along with University traffic rules.

Parking is enforced 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. After 2:00 p.m., faculty and commuter parking are considered open parking with any valid WTAMU permit.

Vehicles may be impounded for the following offenses:

Traffic hazard
Display no permit
After 3 unpaid citations
Displaying a lost or stolen permit
Illegally parked in a fire or handicap zone
