Historically Underutilized Business (HUB)

Statement of Commitment:

West Texas A&M University is committed to increasing the level of participation from Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) in the procurement of goods and services.  Through increased participation by HUB vendors, the University will foster new relationships and expand outreach programs.

Goal of HUB Program:

The goal of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program is to provide an equal opportunity for HUB vendors to supply goods and services to the University.

Administration of HUB Program:

West Texas A&M University adopts the rules of the State of Texas as specified in 1 TAC Chapter 111.11 et seq. and as specified in the Texas A&M University System Policy 25.06 and System Regulation 25.06.01 and the Texas A&M University System HUB Performance Improvement Plan (HPIP).

State of Texas HUB Program

WTAMU Fiscal Year 2007 Annual HUB Report

We are mandated by state law to purchase a percentage of our operating budget from businesses certified as minority businesses with the Texas Procurement and Support Services. Below are listings of the businesses in Porter and Randall who are certified.

WTAMU Central Supply purchases as much product from minority businesses as possible. Please consider us first.
