The Texas A&M University System, one of the largest and most renowned systems of higher education in the world, consists of nine universities, seven agencies, the Baylor College of Dentistry and The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center. West Texas A&M University joined this elite federation September 1, 1990, and since then has reaped numerous benefits.
The Fall term, 2006 headcount enrollment was 7,412. The campus is situated on a 135 acres including 42 buildings plus First United Bank Center, Horse Center, and 2,400 acre Nance Ranch.
