Research Journal for the Humanities

Mission Statement

Tracks, is a forum for innovative research and exposition, created to encourage student scholarship at West Texas A&M University. Our mission is to promote interdisciplinary research within the Humanities, culminating in an annual, online, peer reviewed publication. The submission and review process at Tracks gives student scholars the opportunity to scrutinize and critique new research in order to provide a credible body of knowledge for reference.

Submission guidelines

Tracks, considers contributions from undergraduate and graduate students at WTAMU that focus on research in the humanities. The online format allows for the publication of a wide range of innovative research presented in a rich format. Contributions with hyper text links, audio, video and images are welcome. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain reproduction permission for all non-original material to insure all copyright laws are respected. Proof of permission will be published with the research.

Manuscripts should follow the MLA Style Manual for formatting and be double spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman throughout. The preferred length for contributions is from 1,500 to 5,000 words. Tracks, publishes competent and substantive research after a blind review from two peer student researchers. With this in mind, contributions will be reviewed by the University Writing Center for grammar before examination by reviewers.
