Professional Profile

Dr. Maloy is an associate professor of public administration for West Texas A&M University. He has a journalism degree, a master's of business administration degree and a doctorate in public policy.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Maloy is the academic adviser for the WTAMU Emergency Management Administration program. He teaches a broad array of public administration and political science courses, almost all online, and some graduate courses in the classroom. He advises more than 150 EMA students.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Maloy has done extensive research into how a resident's perception of a hometown molds the person's political beliefs. He is also especially interested in behaviors and personality traits of public administrators and government executives. He has done research in business location and government response to changing demographics, especially in areas that are changing from rural to urban or suburban.
