Sharon Burnett, Ph.D.

Dr. Burnett returned to West Texas A&M University in 2013 after previously serving the institution during the years 2000-2007. Dr. Burnett earned B.S. and M.B.A. degrees at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. She was appointed the Gene Edwards Professor of Accounting in 2015.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Burnett teaches managerial accounting, cost accounting, forensic accounting, and accounting information systems.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Burnett's research interest include issues relating to business and accounting education, tax, managerial accounting, and cost accounting.
