In the spirit of holidays past, return to a time of yesteryear when the holiday season was ushered in by the sounds and smells of the great dining halls of Renaissance England. The West Texas A&M University CORE Center and the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities invite you to join them for the thirty-first annual Renaissance Holiday Feast featuring a menu of new and succulent Renaissance favorites. Noble lords and ladies of the sixteenth century will gather in the new Jack B. Kelley Legacy Hall, on the WTAMU campus, on Saturday, December 7, to partake in the great holiday feast. Don your best sixteenth or twenty-first century finery and enjoy the Renaissance sounds of I Cantori and the Matilda Gaume Early Music Consort along with puppetry, story-telling and Renaissance portraits. The celebration begins at 6:45 p.m. with the traditional wassail bowl and the Renaissance Holiday Feast begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Profits from the Renaissance Holiday Feast provide scholarships for those students directly involved in the production and performance of the holiday celebration. A minimum scholarship donation of $10 per ticket includes preferred seating. Donations beyond the ticket price directly benefit the students. Tickets and donations are tax deductible. Ticket sales begin Monday, November 11 with a 5:00 p.m. reservation deadline on Wednesday, December 4. Tickets are available from the Jack B. Kelley Student Center information desk, (806) 651-2394 or by mail, Renaissance Holiday Feast, WTAMU Box 60266, Canyon, Texas 79016-0001. Seating is limited and by reservation only.
