He received his B.S. in physical education from the University of New Mexico in 1996. He became a wellness instructor at WTAMU in 2008. Previously, he was a kinesiology instructor at Blinn College. Teaching and Related Service When Nesbitt’s not instructing students in the classroom, you’ll find him continuing to teach on the football field. Nesbitt is the wide receiver coach and recruiting coordinator for the football program. This will be his second season with team. During his first season, WTAMU was 12-1 and won the Lone Star Conference Championship. Research and Creative Activity Nesbitt is a firm believer in teaching by example. His strength is in communication and he prides himself in his ability to deliver a message to any audience. He’s not only interested in the physical well-being of his students and athletes, but also their mental capacity to learn. Nesbitt feels this is the most important aspect in human growth and wellness. His research and development is focused on the mind of the athlete, what drives them to succeed and how he as a coach and instructor can make them better. Personal Sketch Nesbitt resides in Canyon with his wife of 15 years, Camille and son, Gavin. Camille is a mortgage originator at First United Bank in Amarillo. Gavin is in the eighth grade at Canyon Junior High. |
