Prior to joining the faculty full time in 2006, Sollosy has been a consultant to a number of organizations in the areas of management, strategy and technology. Has been the CIO and COO of three different companies in different parts of the country, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Amarillo. Sollosy brings a pragmatic, reality-based approach to the courses he teaches. During his tenure at WTAMU, he has taught courses in Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Organizational Development, Strategic Management and Policy, Human Resource Management, Sales Management and Management of Information Systems. Teaching and Related Service Sollosy continues to be involved in the business community by providing consulting and advisory services to a number of organizations. He utilizes these real world experiences as a basis for many of his course discussions. Research and Creative Activity Sollosy continues to examine the impact of the human element in the management of organizations. He is currently in the process of completing his doctorate degree at Kennesaw State University Personal Sketch In addition to his teaching and professional activities, Sollosy is a trained chef and wine collector. He has been actively involved in numerous fundraisers in the Amarillo area by designing and often cooking dinners and the like. Sollosy is married to Lois. Their only dependent is a 16 pound, male Manx cat who occasionally responds to the name of Mr. Stubbs. |
