Kimberly Crowell began teaching at WTAMU in the Sports & Exercise Sciences department in 2012. Kimberly completed her undergraduate education in athletic training at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is currently a Certified Athletic Trainer. She earned her master’s degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2008 and a second master’s in Counseling from West Virginia University in 2012. In addition she has completed graduate level coursework in sport and exercise psychology and a Certificate in University Teaching, also from WVU.
Teaching and Related Service
Kimberly currently teaches Health and Wellness for Children, Historical and Contemporary Issues in Sport, IDS 1071-Elementary Group Dynamics, and Personal Fitness Concepts.
Kimberly is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics.
Research and Creative Activity
Kimberly’s research interests are psychology of sport injury, group dynamics within sport, and Veteran services.
Kimberly is originally from West Jordan, Utah. She enjoys volunteering her time to various organizations, spending time with her 2 cats and her dog and is excited to be working at WTAMU. Kimberly is excited to move back out west and hopes that it affords her more opportunity to visit family more often.
