Professional Profile

Snider joined the Department of Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2007 as a part-time clinical instructor, and was hired full time in Aug. 2008. She received a B.S.N. from West Texas State University in 1982, a dual M.A. in business administration and management from Webster University in 1985 and a M.S.N. in nursing education from West Texas A&M University in 2008.

Teaching and Related Service

Snider teaches maternal child nursing in the acute care setting in both the classroom and clinical settings.

She is a labor and delivery nurse and continues working part-time in the Amarillo community. She is a certified doula, is certified in fetal monitoring and childbirth education, and has additional teaching certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and neonatal resuscitation. She is also a legal nurse consultant.

Snider is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

Personal Sketch

Snider lives in Amarillo with her husband and family. She enjoys reading, cooking and spending time at the beach.
