Professional Profile Snider joined the Department of Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2007 as a part-time clinical instructor, and was hired full time in Aug. 2008. She received a B.S.N. from West Texas State University in 1982, a dual M.A. in business administration and management from Webster University in 1985 and a M.S.N. in nursing education from West Texas A&M University in 2008. Teaching and Related Service Snider teaches maternal child nursing in the acute care setting in both the classroom and clinical settings.
She is a labor and delivery nurse and continues working part-time in the Amarillo community. She is a certified doula, is certified in fetal monitoring and childbirth education, and has additional teaching certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and neonatal resuscitation. She is also a legal nurse consultant.
Snider is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.
