Professional Profile

Dr. Partheepan is originally from Coimbatore, India. He joined the School of Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics faculty in fall 2017. He has bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, India, a master’s degree in Power Plant Technologies from University of Strathclyde, UK and a Ph.D. in Agriculture and Systems from West Texas A&M University, USA.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Partheepan teaches various mechanical, electrical, systems and general engineering topics such as fundamentals of programming, combustion, industrial automation, control systems, power systems, renewable energy systems, circuits and linear integrated circuits.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Partheepan’s research interests include hydrogen energy storage and renewable energy system modeling. This includes fundamental research on design and development of oxy hydrogen combustion system for steam generation, operation characteristics of steam injected gas turbines, modeling of thermodynamic power cycle for oxy-hydrogen combustion and model optimization.

Personal Sketch

Dr. Partheepan have lives in number of different countries but has come to realize there is just no place like Texas and no language like Texan. He lives in Canyon. He enjoys swimming, hunting, long distance driving and exploring new places. He also is a technology wizard who enjoys exploring new technologies and devices.
