He received a B.S. in history and psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 2000, a M.A./Ed.S in community counseling from James Madison University in 2003 and an Ed.D. in sport and exercise psychology from West Virginia University in 2006. Teaching and Related Service Dr. Lubker teaches Sport Psychology, Exercise Psychology, Sport Sociology, as well as a variety of other courses in the Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences. Dr. Lubker is the author of College Adjustment Experiences of First-year Students: Disengaged Athletes, Non-athletes, and Current Varsity Athletes. He has authored and coauthored several publications and has made numerous presentations in the field of sport and exercise psychology, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Lubker is a certified consultant of the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (#261) and has consulted with numerous athletes and teams at the college level assisting them with the mental side of sports. Research and Creative Activity Dr. Lubkers's research interests include athletic disengagement, college adjustment issues for student-athletes, professional issues in sport and exercise psychology, first impression formation and service provision and psycho-social issues related to retention in the workplace. Personal Sketch Dr. Lubker lives in Canyon with his beautiful wife, Kat and their new baby girl, Ellie. He enjoys participating in all sports but mostly golf and basketball. If he is not engaged in something athletic, he most enjoys the company of his family and friends. |
