John has a B.A. in theatre from Hardin-Simmons University and a M.F.A. in design and technology from Trinity University, which he earned while studying at the Dallas Theater Center.
Teaching and Related Service
Landon teaches Introduction to Theatre (online), Stagecraft and Stage Management. He also teaches Theatre Practicum, which meets each afternoon to build for theatre productions.
Research and Creative Activity
As the technical director for the theatre department, John supervises the production side of each play or musical performed in one of the two university theatres. He's a member of the Texas Educational Theatre Association, a national member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and he co-sponsors the USITT student chapter at WTAMU. John has built scenery or served as technical director for performing arts organizations like Lone Star Ballet, the musical drama TEXAS, Shakespeare Festival of Dallas and the Fort Worth Ballet.
