The IACUC is charged with the protection of animal subjects used in research at the University by complying with regulations specified by the Animal Welfare Act, 7 U.S.C. 2131-2159; 9CFR 2.22,2.80, and 37102(g) and operating under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, as well as with other ethical and professional standards.
