Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at West Texas A&M University is a standing committee appointed by the Dean of Graduate School and Research consisting of the following representation: - Veterinarian
- Representatives unaffiliated with the University (2 members)
- Representative from a non-science discipline (1 member)
- Representatives from sciences disciplines (4 members). All members in this category must have experience in animal research.
- 3 from Life, Earth, and Environmental Sciences
- 1 from Behavioral Sciences
- Dean of the Graduate School and Research (ex-officio)
IACUC is charged with the review, approval, and continued follow-up of non-agricultural university research to insure compliance with Animal Care and Use standards and regulations. |
