Thinking of becoming an honors student? Want to learn what it's all about? Then you've come to the right place.

The Attebury Honors Program was founded in 2001 and offers undergraduate students the opportunity to join an enriched learning community. You'll engage in innovative education, research and internships, all aimed at achieving your goals and producing successful results.

  • Mentoring during the Honors I first-semester experience
  • Personal and financial support for engagement in research conferences, study abroad and internships
  • Engagement in personal and professional development workshops, lectures and social events
  • Assistance and support for students seeking admission to advanced degree programs
  • Graduation with designation as an Attebury Honors Scholar

As an added bonus, you'll be eligible to live in Conner Hall, the honors residence hall. Many honors students living in Conner Hall find it to be a great learning and living experience. Honors students are not required to live in Conner Hall.

So what do students like about the Attebury Honors Program? Honors students like the small discussion based honors classes, getting to know faculty personally, participating in a wide variety of colloquia experiences, conference participation and travel abroad.

The West Texas A&M University Attebury Honors Program is a member of the Great Plains Honors Council and the National Collegiate Honors Council.
