Professional Profile Dr. Reyes has been a full-time faculty member since 1998. She became the undergraduate nursing coordinator in 2004 and was named head of the department in 2007. She received a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing administration from West Texas A&M University. She received her doctorate in educational leadership at Liberty University. Teaching and Related Service Dr. Reyes has taught a variety of courses at the undergraduate level. She teaches nursing administration courses in the graduate program. Dr. Reyes is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society and has served as a board member. She also is a member of the Texas Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. Research and Creative Activity Dr. Reyes is interested in student engagement and motivation in the classroom and in the clinical setting.
Personal Sketch Dr. Reyes is married to her wonderful husband of 31 years. She is the mother of one son, one daughter and grandmother to three fabulous grandsons. Her interests include piano, jewelry making and Biblical studies. |
