Camp Dates 2015

June 7th-12th, 2015!

Be sure to visit our Facebook page – Engineering and Computer Science Camp - WTAMU, which is devoted to the Engineering Camp and Outreach activities.  Those visiting the page and hitting LIKE will receive updates about the camp, reminders about deadlines, and news as it happens during the camp along with photos.

The theme for Engineering Camp 2015 is Everyday Engineering!  Students will experience Computer Science by using technology to make a keyboard out of vegetables!  They will also learn about Unmanned Aerial Vehicles with a demonstration of our 3DR IRIS+ Quadcopter!  In addition, students will learn about Engineering through activities such as building solar ovens, learning about the mechanics of a bicycle, building gliders out of balsa wood, and constructing walls out of several materials.  The week long competition project this year will be designing and testing a submersible unit!  Students will learn about the properties of materials and water while assembling an underwater vehicle!  We will have the competition on Friday the 12th during the Engineering Camp Banquet!

We have announced our 2015 camp dates!  Registration is now live and will be open until May! Space is limited this year!  Be sure to register your camper as soon as possible!  Registration Link!
